DJing is in my genes. My dad was a big DJ back in the 60's and early 70's. He did a lot of sock hop's in and around Milwaukee. I grew up listening to Buddy Holly, Del Vikings, Booker T & the MG's, Bobby Freeman and many others. Back in those days, they didn't have the technology that we have today of producing and laying down tracks. I have followed through many footsteps, but my dad has always been leading me. Now it comes to this....
Back in 2000, I was always intrigued in electronic music. I was a huge fan of Dave Ralph back in his days, and would drive to Chicago on the weekends to see DJ's spin. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Milwaukee wasn't to big into the electronic scene. One of the hot spot's back then was Tom Tom Club. While working at Tom Tom's, I began to talk to the bouncer's and basically got the hook-ups for "Friday Nite Flex". Every Friday night, I would enter a club and hear music that I never heard before.
When I traveled to Germany, the electronic scene was even bigger! I was most inspired by Paul van Dyk. After seeing him 6 times in Europe, I finally knew what I wanted to do and what to spin. I started spinning in Germany and then came to Colorado in 2004. Denver is a huge drum and bass city. Now I am finally back in Milwaukee. My home roots. Where it all started by going to this one club, and will I ever be on the other side of that, me on the decks, inspiring people and them coming up to me and saying thank you? Will wait and see...its not the end, its only the beginning!!
