ARTIST STATEMENTCAMMRA GARZASince I was a child I had something burn from within me to create. I have worked with many mediums in my life but have always come back to painting. My body of work is emotionally driven, as I believe we can all relate on a universal level without words, but through basic human emotion. As humans we interpret our intense life experiences in different ways; these individual interpretations make us all uniquely fragile in one way or another. We all have a story, our own message in a bottle. I as a human and an artist try to learn from and move through these experiences even though it is sometimes difficult to understand. No matter how hard I try I inevitably see the sorrow in people’s eyes and can sense their energy. Sometimes I cry for the loneliness emanating from someone, the saddened eyes of a beautiful woman aging, or the neglected child at the grocery store. I sometimes wonder what heartbreak made a person so bitter, so jaded. Sadly I see a loss of empathy in the world in general and that is why I paint. My intent as an artist is to be true to myself no matter what the subject and to express myself as raw as I see it. I use textures and paint to unveil the emotion that all of us feel, yet hide from the world. We all wear a social mask to the outside world even as we struggle inside, but I find that even in sorrow and insecurity there is Always Beauty.found this fantasy layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com
