I'd like to meet:

.. -ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL... Jodi started dancing when she was just 4 years old. She attended an IDTA examination based school & took her first exam in Freestyle at the age of 6, this is where the passion started as after achieving Honours in this, she then went on to undertake examinations in Rock & Roll, Latin American & Ballroom. When reaching the age of 11 she then entered the competitive world of dancing, competing all over the country and training hard 5 times a week. She flew from the beginner category to the Championship category within just 2 years!! She then remained competing at Championship level for a further 9 years!! Winning many, many Championships, titles, qualifiers, tournaments and open heats, in ADFP & IDTA. Performing in shows & displays, and particularly having a special talent in Slow Dance where many titles were taken. After a very successful competitive career & also undertaking every IDTA examination in Freestyle up to the International Supreme Awards with straight Honours, Jodi retired at the age of 22, ending on an ultimate high at her last competition and paying full justice to her competitve career by winning first place in Adult Championship Freestyle Solo and also first place in the Adult Slow Dance section, she then went onto entering her dream of a Professional career within teaching dance. Jodi then travelled to one of the best studios in the UK "Touch Of Class" to study for her professional teaching examination, again under the IDTA and passed with Honours at the age of 23. At the age of 24, Jodi then went onto study for her further Professional teaching examination again completing a huge goal of hers of becoming a Professional Adjudicator. Jodi again passed this with Honours and then went on to be informed that during her exam, the examiner had also nominated her for the Prestigious John Dilworth Worldwide Teaching Award. Across the globe, Jodi was one of 550 Professional teachers who had been nominated for this award. Jodi was then shortlisted down to just 36 nominees!! After this Jodi was victorious and was invited to London to meet the directors of the IDTA for the final interview, she had made the final of only 8 and was against the other professional teachers who had travelled from as far as Barbados!! A lifetime achievement, which is significant to Jodi.
.. -A WORD FROM JODI - Opening J's Dancecentre over 2 years ago is a lifetime goal of mine & after years of determination , commitment & sheer hard work to achieve this, I aim to work even harder to run one of the most successful competitive schools in the East Midlands. The parents within the school are also very supportive which is wonderful as was my parents with me and I believe with having positive people around you, you are capable of achieving anything, I'm a very grounded person which enables me to focus completely on what I want in life, and this is because I have amazing friends and family around me, which I thank them for with all my heart. I'm sure my parents would have even gone without food as long as I looked the bees knees on that dance floor!! The children in my school are my world and I will go to the ends of the earth to give them as many opportunities and support them in whatever they choose to do. There is no other feeling in this world than to stand at a competition with my little treasures around me, all glitzed up and waiting to go on that floor, seeing their faces when they hear their number being called out, its magic!! Whatever standard, grade or capability of each individual, I aim to work with them 100% to achieve whatever they wish....
