Party People
Party People Targets the generation borne of the iPod revolution. It is the Mp3 playing, Limewire downloading, vinyl collecting, intelligent and knowledgeable listener, that takes his music very (very) seriously, but has become increasingly sidelined because of this.
• Members of this generation, who undoubtedly also have lifetime memberships to the X-Generation, are ardent appreciators of live music. They are likely to be found play-playing DJ at private parties.
• Having grown up around the time when Hip-Hop was developing as a culture and with a taste for Jazz and Funk in the form of artists like the De la Soul, A Tribe called Quest , the Roots and Soul to Soul. Along the way they developed an appreciation for the soulful jazz from which bassy Hip-Hop beats originate. Allowing them to seamlessly move from contemporary music to music of their parents’ contemporaries.
• They are not necessarily the epicenter target market on any of the radio stations/ shows and are therefore, not exclusively catered for. Yet they don’t decriminte sound that create a vibe, so the party people kind o, so the party people kind of sound can even be enjoyed by an ordinary, its all about te vibe. The selection from the dj is defiantly for the fun loving young professional. They are , as the clichés defines them , the upwardly mobile ,young aspirational professionals
• They are worldly in the music perspectives , maturing and yet still appreciate and have a sense of nostalgia invoked by hearing the hip hop, and soul classics that defined their generation provided by Dj kenzhero and guest.
