Band Members: I'm a member of the band Herr Arnes Penningar (Scandinavian traditional music) and also play regularly in duos with fiddler Niklas NÃ¥sander (Swedish traditional music); lute player/percussionist Christer Lewin (medieval) and flute player/guitarist Andreas Pettersson (Irish traditional material).
Influences: Among my musical heroes are Planxty, the Bothy Band, OisÃn, Cran, Johnny Doran, Paddy Keenan, Liam O'Flynn, Tommy Reck, Ronan Browne, Barry Kerr, Jimmy O'Brien-Moran, Mick O'Brien, CaoimhÃn Ó Raghallaigh, Paul Brady, Andy Irvine, Muszikás, Malicorne, La Bamboche, Lo Jai, Eric Montbel, Diaouled Ar Menez, Kornog, Gwerz, Tri Yann, Milladoiro, Jethro Tull, Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Tiriltunga, Folk & Rackare, Hedningarna, Sorten Muld and Dead Can Dance. To a greater or lesser degree, they've all influenced me, I guess.
Sounds Like: Irish, Scottish, Breton and Scandinavian traditional music is what I love the most, though I'm partial to French, Balkan, Medieval and Renaissance music as well. If you've heard anything of these genres, you get the idea.
