DJ-Bio: Started spinning @ age 16, 14 years ago. Different styles of music. The DJ name I started with was Ozonicc. In 1992 bonzaï records and dance opera become very famous and was played everywhere. This good music motivated me to buy 2 decks and a mixer to play my favourite music as much as possible. I organised 2 party's of my own in my hometown (Buggenhout), which became a great success: Underground Rave Party I and II. In the record stores I also discovered techno music: UR, Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Peacefrog, Axis, Tresor, Dj ESP, Robert Hood, Joey Beltram, The Advent,... In the legendary club Planet Hardcore (Grembergen) I learn to appreciate hardcore. In those day's my favourite record stores were BCM (techno-Malines) (nowadays known as Enterprise records), WIF-records (retro-techno-Malines)(store does not exist anymore) and USA-import (hardcore-techno-Antwerp). After the closing of Planet Hardcore the owner moved to Kabarka (Berlare) were I became resident on Sundays en was asked to play @ special party's on Saturday. Kabarka also closed after a while and the owner moved to Spirit (Ninove) where I became resident on Friday and Saturday. After some time hardcore did not interested me any more. The scene became very violent because of drugs and racism. Hardcore was also musically at his end: very few releases, much labels that went bankrupt I returned back to techno, although I kept on buying and liking techno very much in my hardcore period. In that period I listened en mixed my favourite music only @ home. A bit later I lost the feeling with spinning and also the passion bacause I went from spinning every week @ a disco to spinning not at all @ party's. A few years I did not buy new records because also that time I bought a house with my girlfriend. Since there was a lot to do in the house I did not find the time to spin my records. The work around the house was finished after 2 years of hard work. I picked up the passion again, especially thanks to the forum of partyguide, where many dj's (mainly from Belgium) come together to discuss music. There I learned to know a new music style: minimal with all it's related subdivisions like clickhouse, deep house, IDM, minimal house, clicks and cuts and also techno with all it's subdivisions like acid, off-beat, birmingham, napoli,... Still I like to play a retro set. Nowadays, I manage my own online vinyl shop Punk'ID Records which is specialized in all round underground music and hard to find mnml labels.
