It's too damn cold in Vermont

About Me

I'm a middle school educator (7th and 8th grade Social Studies)... so I have the patience of a saint.

My Interests

people watching, causing riots, my dog, flannel pajamas, coffee, fall, long drives, laughing, marathon phone calls, GeoCaching, music, history (especially the bizarre stuff), cooking, writing, snail mail, cards, happy hour, GUINNESS, mexican food (but not when people run out of milk and use slimfast instead when making cheese sauce... good story, ask), being adventurous, getting in trouble, making out, drinking games, darts...

I'd like to meet:

Just got out of a serious long term relationship, with my ego seriously bruised; so I'm not looking to start anything with anyone for quite some time. Looking for those folks from my past who occassionally pop up... or anyone else interesting.

Music:

They Might Be Giants, Morrissey/the Smiths, Depeche Mode, James Taylor, Roxy Music, New Order, Electronic, Pet Shop Boys, Billy Joel, Railway Children, Police, Broadway Soundtracks (loud on long drives), any 80s new wave, real punk (not bubblegum punk), Christine Kane, David Gray, Motley Crue, Jesus & Mary Chain, Talking Heads, so many more...

Movies:

Vampires, Gore, Slasher, anything that will scare my pants off (or will attempt to and in turn make me laugh my ass off)Memento, American President, Royal Tennenbaums, It Couldn't Happen Here, Crimes and Misdemeanors... so many more...

Television:

Law and Order. And since it's always on, I don't seem to watch anything else... except the occassional episode of Alias. Oh, and Gilmore Girls (I know, I know...).

Books:

Anything by Jonathon Lethem, Fight Club, The Little Prince, Waiting for Godot... anything with words, basically...

My Blog

1 a.m. October 2... R.I.P.

It's the best for everyone... and it's amazing how many people that entails.

Barnabas Barabas

Once my friends gave me a stuffed ape. I am obsessed with monkeys and gorillas and whatnot, so the ape is wicked cool in my book. The gift, however, was not of pure intention... it was to make fun...
