My name is Luna Hill Marcella Anuyi Crestmore. I am a loving mother who will fight for her children, teeth and claw. You do not want to mess with me. I am not of the human race, per se, nor are any of my kin. We walk among humans, unnoticed, albeit they do think us a bit strange. I snicker at the thought; t'is an inside joke of ours: oh, how strange we are to humans. Our root ancestor was born human, thus we are able to pass as human. But even at his birth the hunger-thirst was upon him; his fate inescapable.Due to his actions, he was outcast from the human race. Marked, he became a nomad in the land of Nod,and built the city of Enoch. In the central court he planted the tree shoot which came from the same tree that had caused his parents so much grief. This tree grew incredibly fast, a massive monster requiring daily feeding. The people appeased this mighty tree's hunger, worshiped it as a fearsome tree-god; their world revolving around it, in daily, bloody- gore festivals.Many feats of daring and death were carried out; a game was established which our people still love to play to this day...taking captive humans and in sport we chase them down. Great fun; we love the more challenging captives who give us a nice chase. When the great flood came we managed to survive because we are shape shifters and Noah was ordered to take two of every animal. He prided the two who boarded under the arc's roof, never suspecting that the crows who talked to him was anything other than smart birds. When he used our ancestors as the bird to seek land and return to tell him, they flew out several times then one day the dry was there so they did not come back. they stayed close by though and saw Noah release the dove and laughed as the bird flew off. they gave the dove a good picking but let it return to the arc...then they flew away to begin the continuation of our race of being.
