Was born in Amsterdam, the Old West part of it.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's, periods of riots and hate, love and peace.
Smoking the peace pipe in the Old Ox Head...
In the old days Amsterdam was divided,
there were the square dudes and the bankers.
The first driving the Puch, growing long hair, and wearing funny troucers.
The latter drove the Kreidler, wearing jeans..
It was hard to turn around..

I'm still living in Amsterdam, now in the "Baarsjes'
nearby the Old West part of Amsterdam
The Old West is still a fine place to hang around
but it isn't what it used to be in the old day's anymore
A lot off DIMKie's over there now
I think the "Baarsjes' will become the place to be...
A nice variety of cultures, shops, bars
and a lot of new initiatives..
