The Driver

If I'm online here, I probably should be doing homework.

About Me

For the most part, I'm just a regular 22-year-old college guy who loves cars, music, and my girlfriend Marlette. I own three Subarus, and I work at a Subaru dealership, so yeah, I'm a Subaru whore and I'm happy with that, since it gives me transportation and a paycheck, not to mention a hobby and way to meet other people.
To oversimplify things, it takes a little while to get used to me. Contrary to popular belief, I really do try my best to keep a happy composure through the course of the day. But the fact of the matter is, I've had a rough childhood - lost both parents before I graduated high school - and from time to time, I get a little down and out. But don't worry about it, there's no need to hold my hand and give me a lollipop. I've adapted, I've learned to deal with it, and I will get over it and move on with my life. Those who learn to put up with that seem to appreciate the times when I'm in a good mood.
I have this page mainly to keep in contact with friends, so 1) I don't spend that much time here, 2) I'm not going to make it look any snazzier than it already does, and 3) I really don't give a rat's ass about my friends list. Therefore, if you're just friend-requesting me because your diminutive friends list makes you feel insecure about yourself, or you're a music group that I most likely have no interest in, then please don't waste my time and harass someone else.
Oh, and yes, I made my profile all gawdy and shit using Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 .

My Interests

I do believe it is healthy to broaden the mind's perspective on the world and experiment and try new things, so I do try to do that on a semi-regular basis, but these two are permanent and will never change.
Cars are more than just a hobby, they are a lifestyle. The feeling of driving a car that is all yours, whether it's hauling ass around a racetrack or exploring a part of the world that you've always dreamed of seeing, is second to none.
Music is my other big interest. I don't play any instruments right now (although I'd love to learn guitar), but just listening to my favorite song or band live or on a CD is where it's at.

I'd like to meet:

Hmm... not sure. Most celebrities/athletes out there are about as interesting to me as broiled squash.
I can't say I would turn down a chance to meet Anna Kournikova though

Music:

To start with: Tool, Disturbed, Seether, Korn, Godsmack, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Creed, Chevelle, Staind, Static-X, Sevendust... etc. etc.
Late 70's-80's stuff is awesome too... Blondie, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Scropions... etc.
I should add that I'm also getting into some trance/techno music. Gareth Emery (GTR) seems to be my pick right now, but I can't deny the talent that is Tiesto or Ronski_Speed or the like. I don't listen to it to dance to (or roll to LOL), but to drive to...

Movies:

Christine is my personal favorite, as I have never related to a movie character more than Arnie Cunningham who owns her. Other faves are The Forgotten, Twister, Gone in 60 Seconds, Ronin... etc.

Television:

I usually only watch TV when I'm über-bored, and when I do, it's usually VH1 or Speed Channel or something like that...

Books:

I don't read nearly as many books as I should, being an English major, but Flowers for Algernon is my favorite book.

Heroes:

I am my own hero.
All of you Subaru n00bs are required to watch this video, to be less n00bish.
