Then...
I picked up the guitar at an early age and devoted my time to learning all aspects of my craft. From digging through my dad's vinyl crates as a kid spinning everything from cats such as Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Al Green, Earth Wind & Fire and moonwalking up and down to a Michael Jackson LP I started dissecting the songwriting and arrangements leading me to discover some of my greatest influences to date: Quincy Jones, Berry Gordy & the Motown family, Stevie Wonder and Prince... "School's now in session!"
Soon I was finding records anywhere I could listening to how a hit record sounds the same no matter it's "genre" or style. Along with the writing I paid close attention to how the Record Producers crafted, arranged and produced the songs they worked on to make a Hit inevitable. Getting to High school the floodgates for music got flung wide open where I was either holding lead guitar in a rock group, rhythm gtr in the faculty jazz/funk group or on DJ duty with a Hip-Hop/Dance act.
Now...
I got my degree at Liverpool, Music: BA Hons, studying the "foundations" in Classical traditions and the History of Jazz, whilst performing the Spanish Classical guitar repertoire, runnin the Jazz standards and Pop/Rock/Soul/Funk popular covers repertoire in various bands. Graduating in summer of 2007 I got involved with several artists performing across the UK including sharing the bill with Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Estelle (Hugo Boss Urban Rules), Master Shortie... I was also writing and recording with acts which led to live performances and broadcasts on BBC Radio, MTV Base & MTV Europe, and being invited to judge Open Mic 2009 (Live & Unsigned).
Now as a Songwriter I'm pitching to place my songs with Artists, Publishers & Producers worldwide, along with developing new acts in-house. If you need me I'll be in the studio writing new songs, producing new tracks and seeking new talent to work with...
