RAILS END
Hailing from Atlanta, GA and Boone, NC, Rails End blends genres and influences to create a unique style of music all their own. A mix of musicians, Rails End began as an idea. Songwriter Andy Moffitt and his brother Matt have been playing together, in numerous bands/projects since they were kids and began learning music together. During the past few years, Andy and Matt played with different musicians searching for a sound they just couldn't find. Then, while playing in the Red Dirt Band, Matt found a drummer to match his style. Soon after Andy, Matt, and the drummer met down in Atlanta and recorded the first demo under the name The AM Trio. Andy, while at Appalachian State University, met Whit through mutual friends and began jamming together. Soon after, we decided on the name Rails End and it stuck.
