About Me

Well what can I say about myself? I will try and keep it short and spare you an unending autobiography. As you have probably guessed my name is Mark and I live in North Wales, I speak a bit of Welsh but unfortunately not as much as I would like.
In June of 2006 I got married to Sarah after being together for five years, it was a great ceremony and took place at the Parish Church of St. Giles which is one of the seven wonders of Wales and dates back to Medieval times. We also had an amazing honeymoon were we spend one month doing a full circle of the earth stopping at Hong Kong, Sydney, Fiji, Los Angeles and finally Las Vegas.
I would say that one of my main passions in life is travelling; I have over two shelves of Lonely Planet guidebooks in my computer room at home. I am always planning potential trips and if I had my way would spend most of my life touring the planet, but, unfortunately I am not a millionaire so need a job to pay for all these holidays. I work for one of the worlds largest steel makers doing marketing communications (designing brochures, websites, adverts, research, etc.), it my not be my ideal job which would be to make promotional videos for Disney theme parks but it’s a living.
I think I will stop there and add more info about me to my blog at a later date.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I have been lucky enough to have met a number of celebrities over the years through either the theatre or movie premieres. Probably the most famous of them was Neil Armstrong back in 1999. So a more relevant question for me would be "where would I most like to travel to" rather than "who I would like to meet".
The list for this is quite long but I have narrowed it down to my top five.
1. Touch a Moai on Easter Island.
2. Climb the highest mountain on at least 4 continents.
3. Roadtrip around all 50 US states (yes I know I will need to fly to Hawaii and probably Alaska).
4. Spend the night at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge in Peru so I can have a few hours alone at the ruins before the 100's of tourists arrive in the morning.
5. Explore the ancient treasures of China such as the Xian Warriors, Great Wall, First Emperors Tomb, etc.
