Bamzigi was born Harrison Munio Kariba in Nairobi city Kenya east Africa on august 13TH 19--.His love for music started at an early age of 3 where(as he was told)he started dancing and moving to the sounds of Ray Charles and Nat king Cole, Bob Marley and many others but his interest in performing began when he first herd RUN-D-MC on tape and he totally lost it to this new art form of hard rock beats with loud scratches from a record players needle and a voice running under it spitting this words that rhyme. He was totally amazed and his hunger for more of this art form which he later learned was called hip hop grew each day and night. Bamzigi's love and diversity grew larger with the more hip hop artist he listened to like LL COOL J,RAKIM,BIG DADDY KANE,TRIBE CALLED QUEST,LEADERS OF THE OLD SKOOL,N.W.A and many more. Later on in life Bamzigi's love for music grew more diverse when his ears turned to new sounds like R&B,SOUL,REGGEA,ROCK,DANCEHALL,TECHNO or anything that made his head bop up and down. These influences are apparent in the music he creates today. _ Bamzigi's music career began free-styling for kicks in clubs and making mix tapes with DJ's from his hood (who in there own right become huge DJ’s and promoters later on in the Kenyan music scene) like Gichboy(who by the way enforced Bamzigi's name which stuck) and D.J Stylez .A promoter named Buddah Blaze saw him give a freestyle session at an underground club in Nairobi with Dj Adrian on the decks, then wrote an article for a magazine that he worked for then named PHAT!!!!, and Bamzigi slowly started getting recognition. At the same time Bamzigi and a upcoming but famous artiste at that time were tight and this artiste then introduced him to a big producer named Ted Josiah who owned a record company named Audio vault at the time. Their artiste was named Nazizi. After the formal intros and audition Ted thought Bamzi had what it took to be a recording artiste and took him under his wing. He later introduced Bamzi to Wyre who was also an up coming artiste on the Audio vault label. Ted had an idea of the three artistes doing a track together although they were all solo artiste and they did do a track together which came together very nicely, the track was called CLANG! CLANG! & hence the group Necessary Noize was born, as they say the rest was history. -After recording and releasing an album with the group (Necessary Noize 1)Bamzi and Nazizi went of to college in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Bamzi studied media studies and acquired a diploma then returned home. On returning to Kenya Bamzi did not see eye to eye with his producer Ted and the label and decided to part ways and do his own thing so to speak. He later hooked up with an old mate Gichboy who was a D.J and promoter in the states turned producer. They decided to work together on a debut album which unfortunately was not released due to bad promotion and dedication from the record company. During this period the tracks ‘THE BOUNCE" and others were released although ''THE BOUNCE" was not Bamzi first single it was the best received and become a national hit. -Bamzigi now tired of working with unreliable record labels took his own destiny in his own hands and went at it solo as an independent musician, and went on to record his debut album called "THE BOUNCE IS BACK”. In this album he has produced tracks by him self like the track ''RUSHA'' featuring Walanguzi, he also produced "SONGA" the first single of this album and many more. Other producers are GICHBOY, SOUL CHILD, HOMEBOYZ, NALI, MANDUGU DIGITAL, K-SOUNDS, and many more. Artistes that feature on this album are the likes of BAMBOO, TALIA OYANDO, WALANGUZI, GICHBOY and a few more. All in all ''THE BOUNCE IS BACK" is one of if not the tightest and most original albums to come out of the Kenyan music scene, its fresh, hot, unpredictable and versatile. Bamzigi is here to stay....... so make way MAN!!!!!!!!! COZ......THE BOUNCE IS BACK!!!!!!!!. Bamzi now also works for the number 1 radio station in the country KISS100 as a presenter!!!!!...haters keep on hating but the bouy keeps making moves,"i thought i told u that we wont stop!!!!!
