About Me

Música del Alma is an occasional band/DJ night organised by DJ's Jonnie O’Hare & Ian Knowlson showcasing Liverpool’s bands at free parties at various venues around the city. They also DJ regularly in Liverpool and across the UK, blending their unique style of Jazz, Blues, Funk, Soul, Afrobeat, Latin, Hip Hop, Broken Beat & Rare Groove. Gigs as DJ's include Chibuku Shake-Shake, The Garden Festival (Zadar,Croatia), The Magnet, Django’s Riff, 3345 Parr Street & Tate Liverpool, the pair have also supported the likes of Mr Scruff, Domu, Edan, Overproof Sound System, Tom Middleton, Dr Bob Jones & Norman Jay along the way. Ian and Jonnie both have DJ residencies at Mellowtone at View Two and FoEism at Django's Riff.
