Patrik Sandström

.. About Patrik Sandström: Patrik was born in Falköping, Sweden in 1972 and has played guitar since the age of ten. Seven years ago he was involved in founding TMI (Trollhättan Music Institute), which holds courses in jazz, pop and rock ensemble playing. Presently, Patrik is teaching electric guitar at Kulturskolan in Trollhättan, Sweden. He is also working as a freelance musician, mainly with the Michael Bäck Band, which provides the musical backing for different artists in Sweden. Patrik has also played in a pop/rock setting with symphony orchestras, for instance the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. In recent years, the stages have grown and Patrik played at Scandinavium in Göteborg, Sweden, where he and the Michael Bäck Band backed Andreas Johnson, Sarah Dawn Finer, Nanne Grönvall and Janne Åström. Patrik has also toured the Nordic countries playing with different artists. He has also played in the Iron Maiden tribute band Very Metal under a period of seven years. Patrik is experienced in moving between different genres, ranging from jazz, fusion, and funk to pop, rock, and heavy metal. His guitar rig includes an OD100 Standard Custom Audio Amplifier (which he highly recommends) by John Suhr, a Rivera 4x12 Cabinet, 2 ENGL 1x12 Cabinets, TC Electronics G-Force, Ground Control Pro by Voodoolab, Love pedal, Karl Fuzz, RC Booster by Exotic, Choral Flange by Fulltone.
