Nothing I type here will apply to my life.

About Me

Oops, I lied. :]
I'm Andy. I'm brown. That really sums up most of it. But for the sake of purposeless elaborations, I'll... elaborate... (Note to self: buy thesaurus.)
I really like movies. It's kinda my thing. I find any form of storytelling worthwhile, but movies have a higher tendency to actually live up to their potential as a medium. Other media I like, like TV, video games, and the like, haven't really lived up to what they can do in general. But believe me, if David Lynch ever makes a video game, I bet the general population would take the format much more seriously. I'd shell out the money for that.
I'm also pretty fond of music (Who isn't, right?) If I had the energy, I'd become a musician myself. I could probably play a little piano, but with my luck, someone much better would come along and show me up with some crazy sonata or something. ;P I've been listening to a lot of jazz lately on NPR stations in my car, but I'm taking a liking to classical stuff too. Every once in a while I hear something incredible and inspiring. It's a great feeling. :] Regular bands I like are Radiohead and Massive Attack. That's really it. Thom Yorke's solo album kicks a substantial amount of ass as well.
I've been taking an interest in religion and philosophies lately. I consider myself religiously unaffiliated, but I've found my own principles and philosophies reflect those of the Buddhist and Taoist beliefs pretty well. I'm anxious to read up on those some more. If anyone has anything at all to say about religion, I'd be extremely interested in hearing what you have to say. I completely respect everyone's thoughts and values, and I take great pleasure in a good discussion. :]
Hm. What else... Well, I'm far from a perfect person, but I'm working really hard to try and better myself. The last couple of years have brought about many, many strange emotions. I feel I've grown a lot. Certainly enough to know I've got a lot more growing to do. I also know I've made so, so many mistakes, and I'm not really sure if I can correct them all. Especially the important ones. I have no clue what's going to happen in the future though. All I know is there's going to be a huge transition in my life pretty soon, for better or for worse, and there's nothing I can or would do to avoid it. I'll come through it just fine, I'm sure. :]
So yea, that's Andy Homer. A little more serious than I usually am I guess.

Lately, movies and religion.

Television:

Ha, anything with a running plot. There's something about years of character development and interpersonal growth in a show I really like. Boy Meets World is great for that. One of the better shows out there. Futurama always handled its characters wonderfully, and could generate genuine emotions without ever forcing them. But I've gotta hand it to Scrubs. It balances wit and heart brilliantly, is consistently visually fresh and distinct, and never betrayed itself in all its years on air. Let's hope I didn't just jinx the last season. :]
You scored as Spike, You scored as Spike. You feel like you're misunderstood. When you care for others, it's deeper than they'll ever know. Though no one thinks you'll change/pull through, you'll show them.

I'm liking Hammett lately. I also feel an interest in reading up on the Greek poet Homer. I did steal his name after all. ;P

My Blog

Hey.

Day 2 in the world of My Space. So far, I've been on this all day and haven't looked at the MxO Forums once. Is this a slow takeover? I don't think my MxO buddlies would like that. Oh well.

Hey I made a myspace.com thing

Hey I made a... Oh, wait... Whatever. Today sucked. Yesterday sucked too. The day before also sucked. I could go on for the rest of my life, but I won't. Tomorrow might not suck. It all depends. Yes. ...
