About Me
Uniqueness...! Sometimes it can be feared, and at others...praised! Terence Robinson, nicknamed "T.L. Robinson," found himself creating more original smooth jazz than most artists had ever heard. Since originality is a trend long forgotten, his name quickly spread throughout the ears of jazz fanatics. T.L. Robinson is considered to be favored by those artists with confidence, and honored by listeners who enjoy the subtle mood and peaceful melodies projected from his new debut album, "Journeyman."
Born with keys and strings flowing through his veins, Terence started in music at an early age of 8, where since then, has been inspired on six instruments without lessons. A preferred pianist, T.L. also sports the bass guitar, drums, saxophone, trombone, and is currently working on lead guitar. They say a "one-man band" can be deadly in the eyes of other producers, yet an antidote to the "big wigs" of the industry. Terence was born in Florida, but being a "military brat", had the opportunity to travel worldwide throughout his adolescence. With so many different cultures and habitats, dreams became entangled to create one vision, which has stopped many hearts for more than one beat.In 1996, T.L. Robinson created his own Production Company named Swift Productions, where he produced tracks for such artist as Mike Marshall (unreleased), Bootsie Collins (unreleased), the Black Wall Street Protégé, "Juice," and others. Then in 1999, he created the Independent Record Label, known today as Agape Records. Inspired and mentored by some of music greatest, such as Ben Tankard, Fred Hammond, Daniel Winans, and Phil Nicholas to name a few, Terence has created soulful music, mixed with emotions and passion, that charge a listeners soul even before a word is spoken. Now with experience in Recording, Engineering, and Producing, T.L. looks to embrace his creation of "Journeyman," and smoothly enter the industry with songs like "Unconditional," which re-charge the soul after a long day on the job. Overall, T.L. gives you 17 songs of inspiration, providing joy for the disheartening, comfort for the troubled, and a light for the lost. With a faithfulness to God, and a dedication to the calling on his life, T.L. Robinson is thought to have one of the most beautiful sounds heard this decade. How can you describe a song such as "Easy To Say," that is strong, yet soft...mellow, and still dramatic...distant, but touching? "Journeyman!"
