A true artist who paints with an individual stroke, Rami Kashou is an innovater of fashion and the art of style.
Born on May 11th 1976 in the city of Jerusalem, Kashou left his hometown of Ramallah soon after graduating from high school in 1996 and moved to the United States in pursuit of his childhood dream to one day become a fashion designer. Growing up as the son of an eclectic and fashionable mother, Rami was often commissioned by the local town socialites to design their ensembles.
In 1997 Rami Kashou began attending courses in design at Brooks College in California. After several months in the program, Kashou decided to choose a different route and challenge himself. While keeping in the circle of fashion, Rami worked in retail for several years after his departure from design school. Retail eventually lead him to a buying and merchandising position at a well known boutique in Los Angeles, all of which would become a vital part of his inspiration to launch his own line.
After a stint of traveling to Europe as a buyer, Kashou bit the bullet and purchased two sewing machines. He vigorously studied pattern making from the local vintage boutiques. " I would buy a piece and take it apart and inspect it, then I would learn." Kashou said. After three years of self-education, Rami began creating what would later be known as the “One of a Kind†collection that was picked up by various notable Los Angeles boutiques.
A seasoned veteran in the arena of runway presentations, Rami Kashou has put on some of the most memorable shows Los Angeles has seen. In addition to his numerous seasons at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, Rami was also honored with the GenArt Alumni sponsorship to showcase his collection in the tents of Bryant Park for Spring 2003. With rave reviews and covers of WWD and the Los Angeles Times to name a few, Rami Kashou has shown his devotion and passion for innovative design and as a result has become one of the most coveted runway shows to attend in Los Angeles.
Known for his dramatic red carpet gowns, Rami Kashou has draped the silhouettes of celebrities and trendsetters such as ,Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Portia De Rossi, Fergie, Amy Smart, Lucy Lui, Tracee Ellis Ross, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Penelope Cruz and Shiva Rose to name a few. His designs have been seen on the pages of In Style, Flaunt, Vogue, Lucky, Elle, Angelino, Interview, People and Us Weekly. Kashou was also commissioned to design the costumes for the March 2005 America’s Next Top Model ad campaign that resided on billboards across the nation.

Rami Kashou's latest collection "A Concerto for Angele" launched the exclusive division of the 6 year namsake brand. “Angele Kashou was my beautiful mother who passed on at a very early and impressionable time in my life. She was impeccably dressed at all times and I observed her devotion and rituals in preparing herself for the day. It was marvelous to watch. I chose this collection to dedicate in her name because identical to her love of detail, my roots as a designer lie within the sameâ€, says Rami Kashou.
Aside from Rami Kashou’s “Ready to Wear†collection, which will be available nationwide, A Concerto for Angele consist's of 15 gowns and cocktail attire for special order exclusively. With a variety of silk fabrications, complimented by palettes of print’s and vibrant solids, Rami Kashou showcased a stand out collection of his fine construction and draping skills at Mercedes Benz / Smashbox Studios ~ Fall 2007.
