Band Website: I am also available for private instruction
Band Members: Jim-Alto and Tenor Saxophone. I play on both a Yamaha Z silver plated alto and tenor and I also have a Selmer Balanced Action tenor that I use sometimes but it is fragile so I basically keep it for sentimental reasons.I am always experimenting with different mouthpiece setups, but right now I am playing on a 7M Morgan on alto and a custom made Saxscape tenor mouthpiece that is a replica of a Francois Louis. I have a drawer full of mouthpieces !I also just started using the Akai EWI4000s, what an amazing instrument! I am still working on my technique on this instrument. The break between octaves are a bitch! The Band!!! Band in a Box 12 run through a Powerbook G4. What can I say? The drummer never drags, the piano player is never drunk, and the bass player isn't trying to solo when I am! :)I am recording using a MXL stereo USB Microphone with either Garageband or Logic Express.

Influences: J.S. Bach, John Coltrane, Mike Brecker, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Cannonball Adderley, and all musicians that continue to develop the craft of jazz.
Sounds Like: I am looking for musicians in the Athens area to start a Jazz Combo. Please get in touch with me if you are interested.
