Peace Riot was formed in late october 2006 by Nick Dufour on drums, Victor Paradis on guitar and Xavier Paradis on keyboards. One jam session was enough to make them realize they had great chemistry in their playing. Combining music genres such as phsychedelic rock and hard rock to make progressive rock, Peace Riot got into the process of writing songs. It was not until March 2007 that Yannic Fillion joined in the line up to fill in with bass. Peace Riot recorded its demo EP at Fatlabs in June 2007, consisting of: "Colours", "Crimson Trench", "Try and Protest", "Crime of the Madman", and "Souljam"; "Back Down South" was recorded at Rumenal Records in January 2008.
Even after Victor and Xavier moved to Costa Rica in August 2007, Peace Riot still continues to make music.
The recordings are purely instrumental for the exception of "Crimson Trench" as Peace Riot is still looking for the right singer.
