About Me

Hola, BonJour, Salama, Namaste and above all Akemashite Omedetou Gozaimasu lovely little humans! As I reflect on the past little while; it seems like a wild dream. This year has been a whirlwind of jet- lag, amazing people, life lessons and fulfilled dreams. The year started out in Wyoming with my sister's Cowboys and Indian wedding-- (and she does live on the Indian Res now!), a trip to the frigid Japanese coast to be enchanted by snowy cranes and unrecognizable wobbly food only to find myself surrounded by leaping lemurs in exhausting heat in Madagascar a moment later. India proved herself to be as magical and mystical as I imagined ( and the Delhi belly even worse!), and I found a new appreciation for California, once I looked under the surface. I learned faith, persistence and a love for Diorlyte in Thailand among the gentle giants and their keeper Lek. Panama, my home for 1 1/2 years, taught me a lesson in survival and anti-mugging treatment (which is only good friends and a stiff drink!). I overcame many exotic diseases, gave "birth" to a bot-fly and successfully earned my medallion sky-miles member. My family grew, as I became an aunt, sister-in law times 2, and celebrated my grandparents 65th anniversary. My mother finally realized her dream and is the proud owner of the theatre in Jackson Hole, and my whole family is all working hard to keep the dream alive! My other family, in Costa Rica, overcame an incredible fate of nature and proved that hard work and a strong heart can overcome the hardest ordeals. I have the best of both worlds with these families, a wild western US place I call home and a beautiful green jungle paradise I can escape to accompanied by true friends and love. Though I miss them all- I know I can always go there and be rejuvenated. The people I worked with inspired, cheered and challenged me, and always provided friendship and good company across the borders. The places opened my eyes to new cultures, new ideas and of course new stomach issues. I feel grateful for the incredible chance to see the world today, to try and spark a change, or at least share a bit of what I have learned. But above all, I learned hope......hope for the future, hope for our choices, and hope for change. May 2007 be overflowing with opportunity and creativity for all-
