I edited my profile with the help of Jagermeister!
I've been playing music since the age of seven. Starting with drums, then sax, then guitar at 11. I grew up with an older sister, Susan and an older brother, Mike. I moved, from Lynn MA, when I was 12, to Amherst NH. I've been in Milford now for 4 years or so. Around here, or most places... there isn't a whole lot to do growing up. My sister liked country music (puke), my brother like hard rock & early metal while my parents dug oldies, rock & classical. I started playing music earlyier then my 'taste' for came but I think that was a good thing. My brother was the person who got me started with guitar and because of the bands he was listening to at the time I don't think I could've picked a better way to learn guitar for where & who I am now. When I started, '85/'86, I was taught the basics... how to hold the pick, how to 'fret' a chord and the basic 8-10 chord positions that are in rock. Other then that, it was me borrowing as many 'tab' books off of my bro as I could. It was sh*t like 'AC/DC', 'Black Sabbath', 'Ozzy', 'V.H.', '..Maiden' & '..Priest'. From there, MY tastes took over. I started buying the 'Metallica', 'Anthrax', 'Megadeth', 'Pantera' tab's... and so-on and so-on. I gotta' say, my tastes are ALWAYS changing. The stuff I find my self listening to now is everything, from 'Slipknot' & 'Soulfly' TO '40 Below..' & 'Sevendust'. Really, anything with BACKBONE. As for who I am now... MY BAND, MY GIRL & My Job. And that's pretty much it. I like to party, (sometimes a little too hard). But for the most part, life is good, I stay ALMOST sober,,, (drink&smoky) and I LIVE FOR THE 40 MINUTES ON STAGE!!!!! It might sound wierd but it's WAY better then sex, (& that's pretty damn good)!
