Ari Colares is a percussionist and professor specialized in Brazilian percussion. Ari develops courses and workshops all over Brazil and world. He not only teaches at Universidade Livre de Música but also at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi.
Ari Colares is also Musical Director of Abaçaà - Balé Folclórico of São Paulo, which is a group that carries out researches on folklore and performs shows of traditional Brazilian music and dances.
Ari Colares has already performed with Naná Vasconcelos, Egberto Gismonti, Winton Marsalis, Paquito D’ Rivera, Cesar Camargo Mariano, etc..
Member of the Orquestra Popular de Câmara, A Barca, América Contemporânea and Palavra Cantada groups and member of singer Monica Salmaso band. And he is also developing his own compositions.
