Doel Gonzalez is a singer and composer who has performed with many bands. Among them: in Texas with La Candela (now known as Shatti) and Afro Jambu; in Panama with Bush y Su Nuevo Sonido and Caribbean Sound; in New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York with La Decision, Teddy Panama and Jazz Ensemble, and Orq. Ilusiones; in Puerto Rico with De Menor a Mayor, Bomplenea and La Charanga San Juan. He presently performs with Abran Paso, Charlie Rodriguez and Sabor Añejo, La Charanga Moderna, Jimmy Urbina and Revolucion 70, Clave Maestra, and Ortos Gutierrez Bands. With Ortos and his son, the master Salsa Dancer and Instructor, Tito Ortos, Doel performs in "Salsa Atravez Del Baile Y La Musica", an hour musical review about the evolution of salsa. Among his recording are lead singing for De Menor a Mayor and Bomplenea. He also did his own project named “Rompe La Rutina” and has also participated in many productions doing background vocals. With Abran Paso, he joins the stage with Joey Hernandez and "Puerto Rico Es Salsa" opening shows for Yolanda Rivera, Adalberto Santiago, Ismael Miranda, Junior Gonzalez, Tito Allen, Sammy Gonzalez, and Luigi Texidor..
