I would like to learn to shoot pool and surf. I enjoy museums, art, literture, hiking, writing, psychology, and people watching. My offical sport is office gossip...I know it's shallow, but what else am I doing?
Ultimately, I would like to meet other Film Makers. One thing that kept me motivated in Film School was the energy of other creative people who had similar goals. I would also like to meet people who feel they can change the world and are actively trying to do so.
Right now, I'm the T.I. tip. I like R&B and Hip-Hop when it's good. (And it's rarely good) The last Great rapper in my humble opinion was Tupac. The most important rapper of our time is NAS. Of course I like some of the newer rappers. I tend to like Southern and West Coast rappers the best. I also listen to some alternative rock. I really like The Killers.
As a film maker I take my movie watching seriously and I have to say my favorite movie is Scar Face. There's nothing particularly stellar about the movie, but it's just something I can watch over and over again and still be entertained. American Me is right up there too. Favorite directors are Spike Lee and Martin Scorsee(misspelled).
I've been living in Europe for the past two years so I don't know a lot of the new ones. I'm addicted to Lost even though I hate it. Battlestar Gallactica is the sh#t. The Shield is a good one too. My favorite of all time is the X-files...I'm a nerd.
I can't remember the last book I read for fun. I'm always studying or reading books related to the industry. I really like Anne Rice because I love Vampires. They are my favorite mythical creatures. Toni Morrison is an amazing author. I respect and admire her creative voice and story telling. And of course I read a lot of Stephen King (the old stuff).
