About Me

I LOVE movies. I fell in love with movies because they took me away from my gritty existence, acted as my virtual escape, and ultimately, saved me. Movies always loved me back; they never let me down. I didnt experience a fairy-tale childhood. I could recount for you the many times I faced hunger, depression, rejection and complete desolation during the years that spanned my childhood and young adulthood. Movies such as The NeverEnding Story, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Rocky acted as an extension of my life. When I watched these movies, the movie never became a part me, rather, I became the story. I WAS Atreyu, Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, and Rocky. Nothing, not even my harsh reality, could take that away from me.Back then, movies were still made to reflect the story as the star. When is the last time you watched a movie at the theater without being distracted by someone talking on his or her cell phone? When is the last time you and the audience stood up to applaud a movie in the theater, instead of rushing out as soon as the credits started rolling to avoid the parking lot scuffle? What I remember is this: holding my bladder so I wouldnt miss a beat of that soundtrack, one line of dialogue, one frame of cinematography. Standing in long lines, in the rain no less, to see Indiana Jones, Rocky and Star Wars. Calling the theaters automated phone listings line over and over because the line was always busy. These are the lengths that we would go to in order to see life recreated on the screen. That time is gone, along with the antenna that came with your television. Today, you have to purchase your antenna separately.Much like that antenna, it seems as if the story is now sold separately from the 2-hour commercial that some studios call movies. The aforementioned movies are timeless. They do not face the impending expiration date of straight-to-DVD or a lowly 2-week run at the box office. Rather, these movies are watched, re-watched and studied generation after generation. These movies never fail to make us laugh, cry and think, really think, again and again and again.I am not nave. I recognize that it is no small feat to breathe life into a dying art. Making a movie, even a bad one, is a huge endeavor. Making a great movie, though, is monumental. I have always believed that to re-create life onscreen, you must have lived it. I have poured all of my angst, heart and soul and combined it with my cinema obsession to bring you something that is different from everything you have ever seen.I need you. I need your help to make Bar Stars the success that it deserves to be. I am playing one of the lead roles in this groundbreaking movie requiring a cast of several hundred people. Our relationship begins now, not on opening day at the box office. In the next few weeks, we will be rolling out the next phase of our website incorporating the Bar Stars movie poster, synopsis and up-to date casting information, including the names and pictures of those already cast. Do you remember the invite that I have previously extended, the one to take a front-row seat in movie-making history? NOW is the time to accept that invitation. You will all have the opportunity to be involved in the Bar Stars experience. Many of you have already put your name on the list and have gone the extra mile by telling all of your friends about Bar Stars. I sincerely appreciate your efforts. If you have not yet put your name on the list, please do so. You can access BarStarsMovie.com simply by clicking on any of the text within this profile. For those of you who have asked how you can help, please spread the word by sending out bulletins on your MySpace network. For now, I will leave you with an abbreviated synopsis of Bar Stars.Bar Stars seamlessly blends the cynical take on America's obsession with consumerism ("Fight Club"), the vibrant sexuality associated with the beauty of youth ("Studio 54"), the symbolism and themes of underworld riches vs. legitimate success ("The Godfather"), a "fly on the wall" perspective of cultural branding ("Forrest Gump") and the staggering amount of content that could be deemed a virtual feast of visual stimulation for the viewer ("City of God"). Last, but most importantly, Bar Stars has been described as the Citizen Kane of the 21st century.
