About Me

The Missed Connections began as a series of largely undocumented sonic tapestries in the early 90's, during breaks from eight hour stretches of Saturday piano lessons in Bach. Some of these appeared in the soundtrack for the experimental video "Smashing Crystal" in 2002. The name was coined in 2005, and the original guitar versions were written on a roll of brown paper hanging above the bed in a tiny West Village apartment. The Missed Connections are now based in Brooklyn, use other instruments, and are highly influenced by the craigslist message boards.
The Missed Connections participated in the RPM Challenge in 2008, lost the lonely hearts song contest, and compiled an album of song ideas entitled "Gesture Sketch."

that went well.
