About Me

I came to Austin shortly after appearing on Jerry Jeff Walker’s self titled release on MCA records playing pedal steel, dobro and guitar (including the song LA Freeway). Not long after arriving in Austin, I formed the band Partners In Crime which included Buddy and Julie Miller, releasing one album on our own label, Criminal Records. In the years since, I've appeared on Buddy Miller’s album Your Love And Other Lies and have performed with many, many bands and artists– Nancy Griffith, Tish Hinojosa, Roky Erickson, Hal Ketchum, Al Kooper, Lou Ann Barton, Chuck Berry, Sam Moore, The Drifters, etc.
When I'm not out singing my own songs, I currently perform with several Austin-based bands, including Denim, Lisa Hayes, and The NewMatics, a band in which I contribute as singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer (to find out more visit www.thenewmatics.com)
The music on my recent solo effort, “I Must Be Dreaming” reflects my rock-folk-country roots with a collection of personal songs delivered with (what I can only hope are) soulfull vocals. It includes guest appearances by Buddy Miller, Julie Miller, Deborah Holland (Animal Logic) and longtime collaborator Tommy Taylor (Eric Johnson, Christopher Cross, and The NewMatics).
