I am here for Friends

About Me

I am proud to say that I was born and raised in the great state of Mississippi. It's a beautiful state with beautiful people on the outside and inside. Very caring people who would give the shirt off their back to anyone who needed it. I was blessed to have the best parents in the world and 3 of the best brothers in the world. I have a wonderful husband who takes good care of me. My pride and joy are my 2 children, Ronnie and Beth. They have given back to me 10 fold and God has richly blessed me with my sweet children.I am a school teacher and have been teaching for 30 years. I truly believe that a good teacher is called into the profession. They don't chose to be a teacher it choses them. I treat my students with respect and therefore I get respect in return.I want to leave this world a better place for my children, grandchildren and on and on. I hope in some small way I have done this already through the hundreds of students I have taught and through my own children.I believe in the power of prayer to my God and he answers prayer in his own way and in his own time. I'll tell the world that I'm a Christian.

My Interests

I love basketball, in particular Mississippi State basketball. My favorite passtime is to be at a Bulldog BB game.

I'd like to meet:

Maya Angalou, Hillary Clinton, Tony Dungy, and a host of others who give of themselves to make this world a better place to live.

Music:

I am a fan of Celion, Barbara Streisand, Vince Gill, The Gaithers, Lionel Richey, and of late Celtic Woman. My favorite song is on this page. Take time to listen. It is a beautiful prayer.

Movies:

"Fried Green Tomatoes" "Steel Magnolias" Driving Miss Daisy" "Stepmom" and a host of others.

Television:

Anything on HGTV and The Closer is my favorite. My all time favorite show is Designing Women

Books:

I read Christian fiction especially about the Amish. That group of people facinate me.

Heroes:

Hands down, my parents. I just hope I have been half the parent to my children that my parents were to me.
