About Me

Blackboy- TV video
Third person biographies are overrated, allow me to take a more formal approach. My name is Costavo. My goverment name is none of your business unless I know you personally. I make great music with little resources. I try to put as much creativity into my concepts and lyrics as possible. I try to think I'm a lyrical artist, but if you don't feel that way my swagger is undeniable. I'm not the most conscious artist, I'm not a gangster rapper, I'm original. Innovation is the key to my definition of success. I don't hope to be wealthy, have so many car's I need to widen my drive-way, and so many girls I need to keep switching numbers. I hope to be known to the point I have people giving me a handshake or a hug and saying "I really like that record" without crying and making a fuss. Recognition of your craft from complete strangers is the best feeling in the world, but it's not why I make music. I was introduced to Hip-Hop around the time when Ready to Die came out. I first fell in love with it when I was sitting on the floor of my baby sitters house watching DMX's video to "How's It Going Down". Creativity is something that flows through my family lineage. My grandfather was a painter, and I do the same through words. Therefore, this was predetermined. I'm a big fan of unity between local artists, but dope local artists. I don't stick with one genre of music, I have a wide range of music I like. If your an artist that shares the same passion and would like to work on a record with me feel free to hit me up, no matter what genre you do. I'm interested in creating dope music, nothing more, nothing less. Every listen, download and feedback is greatly appreciated. Support local artists!
