About Me

Hello everyone! I live in Bedford with my husband and son, and our black and white cat Suzie. I work part-time for a local charity as an administrator & in my spare time(!) when I am not entertaining my little one, cooking, cleaning, ironing, nappy changing, washing, shopping etc etc I like to do a spot of healing and therapy work. I qualified as an aromatherapist about 4 years ago and have done a few different courses including Daoyin Tao and Hawaiian lomi lomi massage. I love all kinds of complementary therapies - my wish would be to have a treatment every week! I have also recently started organising some self help workshops. One of my passions is the Huna wisdom from Hawaii which I am trying to bring into my own life more and more - and I am planning to bring Serge Kahili King (Hawaiian master shaman) to the UK to run a workshop. Huna means 'The Secret' or 'the inner knowledge that brings light'. It's all about manifesting our deepest desires and overcoming our negative emotions, fears and blockages so that we live our soul's purpose. I am also very interested in other shamanic wisdom, not just Hawaiian, but Native American, Aboriginal etc .... I love the power and simplicity that ancient peoples' had and what seems to me to be a very powerful connection with their fellow man and the world around them. I think we have lost a lot of this in our daily lives full of hustle and bustle. I am vegetarian (I love cheese so would really struggle to be vegan!) and am very much into doing my bit to stop cruelty to animals. I also LOVE CHOCOLATE! I also like to do my bit for the environment - I try to recycle or Freecycle as much as I can; and use toiletries and products that don't contain unnecessary chemicals or haven't been tested on animals. I use cloth nappies a lot of the time on my little boy but also use eco-disposables when I want a break from all the washing!
