About Me

Like your music with a twist of humour, a dash of intrigue, and lashings of colour ... ?
Harem Scarem is an exciting recipe that refuses to be pinned down by definition.
They hark from the wild extremes of the Highlands and the Northern Isles; a natural amalgamation of late night session heads creating strong flavours of folk, pop, swing and Americana. The deliciously dynamic foursome play fiddles, accordion, guitar and banjo laced with luscious harmonious vocals, and have an established reputation for exceptional musical dexterity and great live gigs.
Their proud achievements include winning a Tap Water Award for best band at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and their latest venture saw them packing houses all over Scotland, Ireland and Newcastle with Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, resulting in an album which has just gained 4 stars in Uncut Magazine and Mojo, and 5 stars in the Independant.
Storm In A Teacup; their third studio album, continues to showcase their individual musicianship and instrument mastery, but has a more mature and considered approach to the songs which only comes with experience. Free MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider
