About Me

Faux Pas Productions is a an artist management firm and boutique booking agency created and developed from a 360-model where artists' receive priority attention and individualized marketing and branding plans. Fpp was founded in 2002 by Christen Greene who currently works with 2 national and 3 regionally touring clients. Fpp is a team of 3 part and full-time employees and is often hired independently to promote and raise awareness of local, regional and national tours by way of viral internet promotion, virtual tour management, production and national street teams.
Christen personally manages Chris Pureka, Andrea Gibson, Jeff Taylor (Atlantic) and is the Responsible Agent for Andrea Gibson & Chris Pureka.
From 2002-present Greene was responsible for launching the career of Chris Pureka-an internationally touring songwriter based in Western Massachusetts with 2 full length LPs and 2 EPs. Pureka (unsigned) draws up to 300 heads in every major market in addition to having a massive grassroots following and organized promotional street team. In 2007 Chris was nominated for a Boston Music Award for Outstanding Folk Act. She was also awarded 2 ASCAPlus Awards (07 and 08) given each year to, “…reward writers whose works have a unique prestige value for which adequate compensation would not otherwise be received.” Pureka plays over 200 dates per year and is currently finishing a new record for release in 2010.
In 2005 Greene signed roots/rock band, The Amity Front (TAF) and released 2 LPs independently with the band. In 2008, Greene brought TAF a major sponsorship and high profile appearances on Billboard.com, BreakThru radio, CMJ New Music Marathon and various other successes. TAF is a multi-regional touring band who is growing strongly in the SE, Midwest and Atlantic Coast. They draw up to 200 in major New England markets and have supported Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Ryan Montbleau Band, The Stone Coyotes, etc…
In 2004 Faux Pas signed Andrea Gibson (Boulder, Co) and quickly made Gibson a household name in the college touring circuit and small club (up to 200 cap) world. Gibson is currently ranked the 3 slam poet in the world by the iWPS and performs over 200 date per year Nationwide and in the UK. Gibson has released 4 full length albums and is a published author.From 2006-2008 Christen was the day to day manager for Kaki King, Sonya Kitchell and Dar Williams under The Velour Music Group. She secured a major tour sponsorship for, and oversaw the touring components of Kaki King’s …Until We Felt Red. In 2007-8, Greene coordinated all aspects of, and helped launch King’s, Dreaming of Revenge (March 2008, Velour Recordings) which has toured internationally and sold over 30,000 units to date.
Greene has toured the country many times over using everything from a hatch back to a tour bus. On the road, she’s toured with a variety of artists, performing numerous duties included by not limited to: Tour Managing, Asst. Tour Managing, Merch Urchin, Fitness Person, Personal Asst, General Psychiatric Care, etc..
