Bio:Inlite is an alternative rock band located in Buffalo, NY, that was founded by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jordan Dixon and lead guitarist Griffin Smith in May of 2007. Jordan and Griffin had been in and out of various bands, writing music and playing covers together for three years previously, and finally found a home with the drum and bass foundation of Joshua Little and Nico Kelly. After writing a few songs, the band played a few shows, got a little experience, won a few contests and awards, made some money, figured a few things out about the music world, picked up a synth player in the form of Lee Becker, wrote a few more songs, and recorded a 5 song EP that was released January 16th, 2009. Inlite has also played numerous fund raising and cancer benefit shows, and raised hundreds of dollars for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Their influences consist of bands such as The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Strokes, Muse, and We Are Scientists. They describe their style as a fusion of rock and dance music, with an emphasis on vocal harmony and catchy riffs.
