About Me

"Make music as much as you can, because music is too important to be left to the professionals" - Michelle ShockedI have no real music background - no childhood music lessons. Music for me isn't any more important than any other form of artistic expression. In my youth, Prog Rock, Punk, New Wave & Goth all left their mark on my musical consciousness. At some point, awareness set in that music seemed to express an ethereal existence. Caught up in emotion, ideas, the "real" world and our secret selves which emerge when darkness falls - - while at the same time awakening the physical ( how else to account for the urge to dance? ) in a potent catharsis. How do you explain why you respond to some kinds of music and not others?I like to be haunted - possessed by tension - sucked into a hypnotic state of free - association. I like visceral impact combined with textured atmosphere. There are so many possibilities. if you close your eyes and listen, it's almost a place you could go to... until you open your eyes and know it was all just conjured by sound.I'm just one guy trying to make sounds which are similar to ones that get stuck in my mind, worming their way into my imagination.

Let's just put religion aside. No one needs to tell you that things are REALLY BAD right now ... REALLY BAD. It's starting to look like we're an empire in decline, RAPID DECLINE.Now personally, I thin...

Control & Film school

Being back at school is weird! What's even weirder is that as someone who is on average about twice the age of my fellow students, I feel much more focused and invested in what I'm doing. As much as I...

A new tune and ... confessions

A new tune materialized out of the ether, coming together rather quickly. It's not perfect, but good enough for now, as I have a policy of creating impulsively. As far as I'm concerned, It's better to...

Origin story

Although I had been "messing around" with playing bass for a good decade whilst immursed in the SF goth scene, it wasn't till I met up with Adam Stone ( Soothsayer ) in 2005 that I began to play in ea...
