James Delnero and Lost Mountain

About Me

James Delnero and Lost Mountain began playing together in the winter of 2003. The true roots of the band, though, stretch back to the 1970s, when lead vocalist and guitarist James Delnero and mandolin player Mark Leveille, who grew up together in Southampton, Mass., began playing together with James and his family. Some of the band's current tunes, then, have literally been twenty years in the making.James and Mark met banjo player Chris Boucher by chance one winter evening at the Conway Inn, one of the more well-known bluegrass jam sessions in western Massachusetts. The three decided to get together to work out a few tunes on their own, and soon had their sights set on performing for the public. In the years since, Lost Mountain has enjoyed playing shows all across New England. They've held residencies, played festivals and appeared at performance venues such as Treydon's Bar and Grill (Easthampton, Mass.), the Pioneer Center for the Arts (Easthampton, Mass.) and the Lizard Lounge (Cambridge, Mass.).Would you like to know more about the band?
