About Me

Its been said that Youngstown, Oh is a gold mine for talent, but the small town has yet to be put on the map. Many believed that Rufus Blaq, the first rapper to score a major deal from the city would pave the way for more artist to make it, but the dream fell short. At the an early age, Renaan Illice has developed into the prodigy that Youngstown has been looking for, and he plans to represent his city to the fullest.
Born Damian Renaan Harris in Pennsilvania in 1982 to a teenage mother and father, Renaan moved back to Youngstown at 3 months old. As a young boy, he would develop his love for music, banging on the drum set his grandmother bought for him and playing a mixtape of his older cousin's, loud and repeatedly. In October of 1990, Renaan develops his skills in the classroom with a female classmate who could freestyle. Afraid that he may slip up, Renaan would write his rhymes and then resite them. In 1994, Renaan's grandmother forced him to move to Columbus, Oh with his father, step mother and two step brothers, where he would soon freestyle in cyphers and be recognized for his harsh deliveries, and raw emotion. In the summer time, Renaan would go back home to Youngstown and run the streets with his cousins, younger brother and childhood friends experimenting in sex, drugs, and guns. He always perceived the world differently than most kids, and sometimes he would write his thoughts down. These thoughts would become the foundation for his future recordings.
By the age of 18, with a few songs under his belt, Renaan was already drawing comparisons with his smooth, yet commading voice and witty wordplay. While he has been influenced by a long list of artists from E-40, Snoop Dogg, and NWA, to De La Soul, Redman and Wu-Tang, Renaan was determined to create his own identity that would, one day, be loved and revered by fans.
After hoping from one crew of emcees to the next, but still standing as a solo artist. Renaan was introduced to RNS Entertainment through his cousin. After hearing a few songs from GK, and recording with Intrigue and SauTa, Renaan felt this camp would be a good fit for him. They began to network though out the city of Columbus, Youngstown, and Akron making a name for themselves as Youngstown's finest. Renaan would give his step-brother, Keiwan mixtapes of their music, witch would fall into the hands of his oldest step-brother Keilon Ratliff who later signed them to Bottomline Managment.
After opening for artist such as, Fat Joe, Bobby Valentino, Dj Unk, Whoodini, Biz Markie, Slick Rick and more, Renaan Illice along side of his hometown friends and family of RNS Entertainment, began to make a mark in the local and national music scenes. Their latest release RNS Entertainment "We're a Huge Deal" mixtape hosted by Dj Dommy "Huge Deal" Styles, has proven to be an instant classic in the streets.
Now with working with up and coming producers such as Baron Boys, DisKaT, Bopman, Ambicious and Sound Squad, whos done prodiction for the likes of Dipset, the late Stack Bundles, 50 Cent, Hot Rod and more. Renaan Illice is ready to put in work with a promising team of producers and emcees to claim his well deserved place in the game. Focused and unfazed by his competition, Renaan Illice is ready to put Youngstown, Ohio on the map. This Is a S.O.A production Stamp of Approval ,check us out Stamp Of Approval
