Piedmont Dragway is a 110 acre, 1/8 mile all-concrete IHRA dragway celebrating its 50th anniversary. Located in central North Carolina between Greensboro and Burlington, Piedmont Dragway has been providing both drag racing fans and drivers with a stable operation for over four decades. When it comes to stability and longevity in weekly drag racing, Piedmont Dragway stands at the top as one of the sport's best operated facilities. We are the ORIGINAL home of the $50,000 Big Dog Shootout.
With new ownership and management since June 2007, big things are in store for Piedmont Dragway for the 2008 racing season. We are adding new events such as Drifting, Grudgefest, and Import & Car Club Racing in addition to the current events that Piedmont Dragway is known for.
