PEOPLE
I'm producing a series of images of confident women who aren't shy about expressing themselves. When I photograph you, it's your personality I want to capture. I want to tell "picture stories" where my images have movement and dynamics. Staged photojournalism. If I do this right, my portfolio will be edgy with equal hints of bravado, brass, sadness, and beauty.
EXTERIORS AND INTERIORS
My first experiences with a camera revolved around capturing landscapes and still life scenes. This continues to be an evolving interest of mine as I've been able to incorporate my ever-advancing post-production skills into my photographic work. I find an advanced state of solitude in this process as the capturing of the photos, the editing process, and the photos themselves are devoid of human interaction. Symbiosis.
ABANDONED NJ
I've lived in New Jersey for my entire life and I'm old enough now to feel nostalgia for the places of my youth that no longer exist. Some of these places lie abandoned or in disrepair today, and I'd like to capture them before they disappear. How would Ansel Adams have photographed the remains of Jungle Habitat? What if Dianne Arbus had been a regular contributor to Weird NJ?
