About Me

There are many ways I would describe myself...independent...genuine...can be cheesy at times...a hopeless romantic...laid back and down-to-earth...easily bored...excited by the little things...a minimalist who occasionally likes the nicer things in life...a perfectionist/anal...and hardworking, just to name a few things. I'm half Filipino and half Caucasian, but most people can't figure that out by looking at me. I work for LAUSD as a speech-language pathologist. I'm also the Academic Achievement Advisor to my sorority. I love angels (they are not the same as fairies), which explains my two tattoos. My passions are traveling and going to concerts and I will even go by myself to a show if it means not missing out on a band I want to see. This summer I'm traveling Central America for 5 weeks. Music:

I'm mainly a rock girl (I LOVE DEFTONES!), but I can easily enjoy a pop or R&B song, and I especially like to dance to rap and hip-hop. I hate country.

Movies:

The Lost Boys, Swing Kids, Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dirty Dancing, Reservoir Dogs, Troy, Meet the Parents/Fockers, Scarface, Casino, Goodfellas (I like mobster movies in general), Swingers, Heathers, Spider-man 1 and 2, Stand By Me, the X-Men movies, Office Space, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket (I'm a fan of war movies too), Toy Story 1 and 2, American History X, Circle of Friends, the Saw movies, Memento, Grease, Chicago, A Bronx Tale, Shrek 1 and 2, 100 Girls, West Side Story, Gladiator, Braveheart, Shakespeare in Love, and so much more I'm sure.

Television:

One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Friends, Life As We Know It, The Girls Next Door, Sex and the City, Married With Children, Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek, Felicity, General Hospital (the only soap I watch), The Wonder Years, Beverly Hills 90210, MTV shows, courtroom shows (People's Court especially). And I admit I like a lot of the reality shows too.

Books:

I'm currently reading Hannibal Rising. I've also read Good in Bed, the Lovely Bones, Hannibal, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Red Dragon, A Clockwork Orange, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1, 2, and 3 - that's pretty much the books I've read. As you can tell, I'm not a big reader.

Heroes:
