The story of CONVICTED begins back at ’98 in Volos Greece when two guys
that barely knew each other,(john Kospantsidis-Guitars-Vocals and Socrates Konstantinou-Bass) decided to perform a thrash band!
After two years of rehearsing by their own and searching for a drummer and a second guitar player and two Years of military obligations they found Jason Toufeksis
ex-member of Imperial Moon(an underground black metal band) as a drummer and Thanasis (Mr Bean) Stamopoulos on Guitar too which was an ex-member of an underground thrash band called Mortal Void!
The four of them begun to write and rehearsing songs for six months.They had their
first live show at Architecture University of Volos at 13th December 2002,and one
more live show at a small rock club called Magos!
At May of 2003 Jason was kicked out of the band and Thanasis left the band for
personal reasons! Convicted very quickly found Larry Kourtis as drummer and
began rehearsing again to start recording! After a few shows they entered the studio
RockSound at Thesaloniki in December 2003 with George Brigos as a sound engineer
and recorded their first 7 track demo-cd called NUCLEAR ESCAPE after 20 hours of recording and 20 hours of mixing and mastering, it was time to get a label which
didn’t came up!
A promo cd was given (300 copies) for free and in June 2005 they managed to find
the budget and make the cd by their selves, which costs 5 euro + post!
Until today Convicted managed to have very good shows with many important bands in the metal scene, bands like Septic Flesh (GR), Integrity(US),Tankard(GER)
Unrest(GER),Attacker(US) and Heathen(US) in THRASH TILL DEATH festival
In Hanover Germany 16th of July 2005!!!
Now convicted are at rocksound studios and they are reckording their new album!!!!
