Tito Puente Jr. and The Latin Rhythm consists of three members: Tito, Jayquan and Shy. Tito Puente Jr., born and raised in New York, moved to Miami, Fl, to persue his career as a singer. There is where he met Jayquan and Shy. Together they formed the Latin Rhythm. They toured around the world in 1994, with only a single, and a video, and opened up for artists such as: Tito Puente Sr., Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, La India, Selena, Ricky Martin, and many more. In January of 1995, they were signed to EMI Latin, with their debut album Guadachando. Their single: "Oye Como Va" earned a Billboard Music Award for "Best Dance Video of the Year."After that album, The Latin Rhythm took a break from the group. Tito Puente Jr, continued his solo career, Jayquan continued to be Tito's dancer, and Shy joined the Army.Now, the Latin Rhythm are recording their new album, the Comeback.
