What Tom Chard has accomplished in the last 3 years has been astounding. At the ripe old age of 21, he has witnessed the club scene pass through a few trends and stages. He has seen DJs and promoters come and go and watched it all evolve into what it is today.
If holding residencies at all of Melbourne’s reputable nightclubs wasn’t enough, he has also held residencies in nightclubs throughout Sydney. These have included playing for the well established labels “Ministry of Sound†and “We Love Soundsâ€.
So far Tom has played at some of the most reputable clubs in Melbourne which include Q-Bar (dual resident), Famous, Room680, 161, The Motel, Eve, Circus, Goldy, Lotus and Sanctuary.
In Sydney he has played at SoundsOnSunday, Yu, Dragonfly, Havana and Moulin Rouge.
After successfully making a name for himself throughout the east coast of Australia, Tom has now planned an international tour of South America during December 2008.
With an impressive list of local and national artists’ in which Tom Chard has played along side, he has also been given the opportunity to support such internationals as Armin Van Burren, Eric Laville, Bodyrox, Tiga, Riton, Ben Watt, Sharam Jey, Alan Braxe, Kris Menace, Dusty Kid, Audiofly, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Yousef, Heidi, Knifemachine, Spiritcatcher and Spencer Parker just to name a few.
With his profound knowledge of music trends, he has been recognised to work for ARIA submitting his personal “Club Chart†on a weekly basis. Only a select amount of DJ’s are given the opportunity to do so, so this is yet another enormous personal achievement.
2008 looks to be another big year for Tom Chard. With a few “nightclub seasons†under his belt, he looks to continue on bigger and better than ever.
