Hug Your Friend(HYF) takes from the English, where all the artist in Hollywood born in Europe Countries and Americas such as Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, etc, But don’t you know that “Duta†Sheila on 7 was born in there too? So hug your friend meaning in Indonesian Leanguge is “Peluk Temanmu†The reason why, this band try to hug your each other friend when we’re playing alive in a show… Well then it’s very honor if you can hug beautiful girls that so hot and sexy…this is our chance!! Ha ha ha …LOL just kid bro!! HYF is a friendship band…No fight and peaceful in a friend… Making HYF doesn’t have a connection attracted form North Pole to South Pole, hehehe that’s very false! In the beginning Apit(guitar) and Firman(vocal) are friends, and then that time Apit always get in to Firman’s cost house n get play… Firman has a material for his lyric to make a song, so he asked apit aid to help him find some melodies in his lyric… with rapidly Apit search some of melodies from his creative idea, so he got it! And it’s sound so awesome in Firman’s ear..Firman love it so! After then Apit said†why don’t we’re not making the band?†I said†hmm nice thing, it would be great I thought!†So we tried to make a song and it wrapped…and it ceaseless till we had 6 songs. While then, Apit had another idea to add some flute piano sound in some of songs, Ardie appear in his brain…Nice suggestion! We asked to ardie, and he agreed with this project… Ardie had this flute piano since he’s child and he took care his own with well. So we tried to get recording in a studio…Well perfectly we’re satisfied with the result, we had 11 tracks completed… 10 tracks in English and 1 track in Indonesia (old song with new arrangement) I had a funny story while making that Indonesia song, Apiet pushed his self to sing in this song… We gave him his chance to add his voice for the verse 1 to first chorus… so green I heard, but that’s the way it is this song so great with his voice, then Ardie add his voice after then, he duets with my sister. Our EP release sooner after a week we had recorded… We’re so glad! Okay that’s all about HYF… We are sorry if our music has a similarity with another band… it might be our influence also, Keep Hug Your Friend if you need a peace condition…
