About Me

TheDip60 is not just your run of the mill band with a number at the end, although ironically, there is a number at the end of their name. They are hoping to change the way mainstream rock is perceived today by infusing charismatic vocal melodies with some of the filthiest blues grooves around. Hailing out of rural Olney, Illinois, these three musicians are looking to have a good time, write music people will respect and love, and create a big enough following that they will be able to combat those damn robots whenever they try to take over our planet.
Currently, TheDip60 is working on putting an album together in Nashville, Tennessee through a pool of resources. With help from engineers about town, as well as their own magical production abilities, the end product is sure to be a few hundred steps up from their freshman release, rightfully titled “Going Nowhere Fast” in 2003, under the name Ostracized. The release of TheDip60’s debut album is tentatively scheduled for NewYears 2009, provided that there no sudden robot attacks.
Although these young talents are hard at work on their musical vision, they are also hard at work in their various cities. One may think that the group being split up for a majority of their days would be detrimental, but TheDip60 believes in making the best of a situation. Since they all attended different schools, in different states, seeking different majors, their fan base grows larger with the distance. Chris is oh so very close to becoming a chiropractor thanks to Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield Missouri, just west of St. Louis. Connor graduated in December of 2007 with a Music Business degree from Belmont University, located in the heart of “Music City,” Nashville, Tennessee. Rob went the more practical route, studying history and playing upright bass in ensembles at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Practical because Charleston will most likely be near the bottom of the list when it comes to cities that the robots will be looking to attack first.
With a years worth of shows under their belt, TheDip60 is looking to add many more dates throughout the midwest, as well as any other opportunities that may arise. Come this semester, be looking for TheDip60 to be rockin’ a college town near you. Also, keep checking back here for new songs to be added to the player as they continue work on the full length album. It would be wise to be on TheDip60's side when the robot invasion comes. You know it will.
We are TheDip60. We do what we want...
