Sometimes we have a gift and go through life not realizing it…then one day it comes to you. This is such a story of letting your passion come from the heart and sharing it with the world.Carlos Rodrigus fell in love with music as a youth. His love affair with music has taken him on many journeys and now music has taken him on another exploration.Growing up he learned to love music from his parents. His mother was his first teacher of music. Through her love for music, his developed. She would play music according to her mood. That’s when he learned the influence music had on person emotions. The right song can heal a wound or open a can of worm. His father was a connoisseur of music. He would listen to anything from salsa to country. His father would say “listen to the words and feel the melody, people are people they all have the same stories, they are just told a little differentlyâ€. The beauty of it all is how the story teller tells the story, and Carlos is good at creating a visual for the story. Some of his pieces truly bring out a physical reaction. Some of the pieces are to simple expose the viewer to a new genre of music. Looking at the colors and textures distract you from forming an opinion on the genre or the artist that sings it. The viewer will then read the words and discover that the song is truly poetry. The music is not present but the vibe is. After exploring one of his Carlos hopes that he has expose someone to the beauty of musicWhether you slang crack or corn, you drive a F150 or a Bentley you’re from the Bronx or Jackson Ms, your troubles and joys are the same. Carlos understands that and the power of music. All of his art is one of a kind and is driven by his love for music.
