With each pashing hour I look around and wonder what I’m doing in life. I look around at the different people I see, the different attitudes, and the different perspectives of life. What I am witnessing I do not understand. We live in a place of great beauty and opportunity. The people of my generation lack the desire to see that. Stevie Wonder said” sometimes being blind enables you to see better than those who have sight? People who can see often don’t.” With in each person we have the power to do great thing that can positively affect those around us. A great number of people invest their energies into gangs, drugs, and stealing. Most I know look for the easy way. The important thing to most is being the best, number one, a strongly influenced attitude by one own self-centeredwants . They compare stories about the amount of drugs they have done, the value of things they have stole, and the number of life’s they have taken, the number of homes they have destroyed. They talk about the best way to hurt good people that have done nothing. Life is cheap, that is the attitudes I see through out or society not just jail. I ask myself why? No longer are the lessons that we are taught about hard work, honesty, and the values of life are enforced by the world. The lessons that are enforced the most in or society is self-destructive. When the time comes to become free to live without grief it will be together as one, when we step into a new dawn, a new rise of freedom and true peace. We search for instant gratification no matter what the cost to ourselves or others.
