About Me

Project Downcast is an amalgamation of desires shared by many who desire to see the enactment of justice in a broken world. People in need. People who need. People we need. Justice for these people by the extension of love as it is manifested through thought and action and servanthood. At the moment we are just two individuals that want to create an outlet to funnel love to the needy through financial resources donated by people who have much or little and by resources that we may one day generate of our own accord as well.
Our names are Samuel and Hannah. We have done relatively little, but we have dreams to keep impacting the souls who wander this world in desperation looking for the Answer. We have already received much aid and encouragement, without which we could have done nothing. We envision Project Downcast as a vehicle to transport information about the reality of the needy as we encounter them or learn of them to those who have no idea of their travails. Conversely, we want to deliver aid from those who learn to those who need. This may happen directly from our hands into the hands of the people we hope to impact, or it may happen in the form of Project Downcast simply raising awareness and finances to be redirected to another group or non-profit organization to whom we want to lend support.
In whatever ways this may transpire, we want to live towards the privilege of giving ourselves to our brothers and sisters that are unable to remedy the despair in their lives. We know we can’t fix everyone and we can’t fix the world. But we can do something, and maybe all of the someones doing the somethings in the somewheres might be able to add up all of the minute fractions of improvement and call it change.
