Get your layout at MyspaceWilbacho was born March 12, 1977 in Santiago de Cuba and was raised between Habana, Cuba and Kingston, Jamaica. He started his musical career in Cuba 10 years ago and then moved to the United States in 2000. He has created new genre of music called reggae-timba it is a mixture of Jamaican reggae, timba (Cuban salsa), hip hop, funk, jazz, African bata drums and blues. He recently was the winner of the Hieneken Buscando Estrellas in Chicago. He went to Miami as a winner, performed and networked with other artists, managers and producers from the Latin music industry. He performed live with Miami's own, Jenny Lopez who is a super talented singer, composer and writer at the Chakra club in South Beach, Miami for the ending bash of the Latin Billboards Miami 2007. Today, Wilbacho is working on his cd/demo to be released next year and is working with other artists in Chicago, New York, Miami and Jamaica. Wilbacho was also an accomplished model in San Francisco, California and an actor. Wilbacho is fluent in five languages: Spanish, Italian, English, French and Lucumi (Yoruba de Nigeria). Wilbacho is known for his charisma, energetic personality and the ability to freestyle in a matter that has not been heard or seen in the Latin music industry. Wilbacho is a writer, composer and produces with his step-brother Bossra-Daniel for Abakua Publishing Company Kingston, Jamaica. Wilbacho hopes to open the door for many Cuban and Cuban-American artists in the Latin-American music industry and start a musical revolution called REGGAE-TIMBA.
